What is ECO 4 funding?
In Great Britain, the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government-led initiative designed to combat carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty. Since its launch in April 2013, the scheme has primarily focused on the Home Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO), benefiting a significant number of our valued customers. Under HHCRO, obligated suppliers are required to implement measures that enhance households’ heating capabilities. This encompasses various actions such as replacing or repairing boilers, installing cavity wall insulation, and providing loft insulation. By prioritizing energy efficiency, ECO is playing a crucial role in reducing carbon emissions and ensuring that homes are warm and affordable for all.
What energy-efficient solutions could I get?
Air Source Heat Pumps
First Time Central Heating
Solar PV
Electric Storage Heaters

What if I don’t qualify?
Should you find yourself ineligible under ECO4 for any reason, there are several Government endorsed initiatives that you may meet the requirements for. Powersourcing specializes in examining the underlying data and offering recommendations on the most appropriate course of action for you.
Is it really free?
YES!
The Leading Energy Companies, including British Gas, SSE, Scottish Power, N-Power, and others, are responsible for funding Home Energy Improvements. Failure to meet their targets can result in significant fines as they strive to reduce the average fuel consumption in UK households.
Their goal is to make heat generation more affordable with new boilers and simplify heat maintenance with insulation. The funding for these initiatives is sourced from the profits of companies that we all contribute to through our monthly energy bills, rather than from the Government like Universal Credit.
Are Oil and Gas systems included?
Following an assessment of the specific situation, we would suggest the implementation of renewable energy solutions for individuals currently relying on oil, LPG, or electric heating. This could include the installation of air source heat pumps and solar PV panels.
Is it available nationwide?
As we work with large licensed contractors, we can cover almost all of England, Scotland and Wales
